i don't know what specific brand of drop shocks are best but be sure and tell however you buy them from about your drop.

even though you didn't decrease the size of the springs in the front you will need a different shock with different proportioning valves. You will need a shorter shock in the back because of the shackles. Look in any sport truck mag and you will see plenty of good companies... autobahnwholesalers, godfathers...etc,etc.

Dont waste your money on Bell's Nitro Drop shock, I did and will never again. I hear Toxic Shocks are pretty tight, need tight to compenste for Dak's slushy springs.

Good luck, Scott

I dropped my old 1992 Club Cab by 2/3 and used KYB's. The rear shocks had to be a shorter length than stock, but the fronts could be the stock length. I had to buy the rears and then have the eyelet drilled out a bit larger to fit the lower bolt thru them.

It was a V-6 (less weight)and I had also replaced all the bushings with poly-urethane. It handled like a roller skate.

PS- All you Gen II guys who've dropped it 3"-4" in the rear, I still have those drilled KYB's and will sell 'em to you cheeeep.
