Subject: Vacuum Leaking???
IP: Logged

Message:
I have a 97 3.9 and I can hear a vacuum leaking sound while the engine idles. All the hoses seem to be hooked up, but I am afriad that the lack of vacuum to teh engine is causing my gas mileage to go way down. Any idea on how to detect teh problem or how to fix it?

a can of wd-40 or propane torch unlit, with the truck running spray wd-40 or the propane over/around the hoses and intake,tb if leak is present the truck will idle up[do this with a cool motor]

fixing the leak, you need to find it first

good luck
