I'm not real sure. I'm thinking that the sensors are different, but I'm not certain. If you do a search on here you will find numorous posts about throttle bodies. You may be able to answer your question that way. Thanks for looking though.

How much did it cost you do get all the work done on your throttle body. I've never thought about doing that. It looks good, I just wonder if I could get one to look that good.

The Hugh's engine way is ok, it gets rid of the bottleneck in the bores. But I don't understand why he doesn't cut the air horns off. There are posts all over this website telling about how bad the air horns are sticking up, I myself see no reason to have them. If anybody know's what they are originally for, let me know. He says that boring them out may not be neccesary, that you get more air flow just by getting the bore straight, but I went from 42mm to 46mm, and felt no hesitation with take off. The throttle body I have can not be too much air. Ebay has v6 tb's bored to 47.5. All i'm saying is, I got one bored out and it helped out a ton. Oh, and for mike, Labor on my TB was an even $200. I enjoyed it, now I have a new ram with the 4.7 and would just like to get half of my money back. Thanks for the interest though.

Does anybody know it this throttle body will make a difference on my truck worth spending $100 for it? It looks good, but is it worth it?

The workmanship looks ok, but I would want a money back guarantee. I'm a little concerned about what looks like the use of flat head screws. If they are flat heads, over tightening or even just tightening sufficiently to hold it to the manifold may overstress the casting and cause it to crack.

If they managed to counter-bore the casting for a low-head screw, without breaking through the flange, then it is a job well done. If this was accomplished, then I think it is worth all of $100. Whether it's worth it to you or not, only you can decide that.

Getting rid of the "air horns" is more cosmetic than functional. I've found that removing the air horns without any further modification actually reduces flow by a measureable amount 1-2%. I think DC spends a great deal of time and money on design and it is difficult to make huge improvements. On the other hand, a lot tiny improvements do add up.

Opening the bores alone increases airflow by about 12-13%. After removing the "ears" or "air horns" you have to go back and reshape the throat entry. This regains what was lost, but only adds another 1% to the airflow. Modifying the throttle shaft and plates adds another 1-2% to the airflow. I would have to say that very little or nothing is gained over simply modifying the existing airhorns.

Something people seem to forget and people that sell these modifications don't tell you and that is they may flow differently when used with different air intake systems. You must have your entire system tested in order to know what what kind of flow numbers you are ending up with. You can't simply take the individual components, add them together and assume that your net gain is the sum of the parts.

It is entirely possible that the Hughes mod works very well with the stock airhat, but not as well as a Fastman with K&N FIPK. The opposite may very well hold true if the stock airhat is used on the Fastman mod.

The bolts are not flat heads, the're allen heads. They head of the bolt has been turned down enough to fit snuggly into the counterbore. I'm sorry, but i'm not going to be able to do any money back guarentee. I like what has been done to the one I have better than one's I've seen on the internet. If you have any more questions let me know. Thanks
