I'm getting new tires for the Dak...

As of right now, looks like the Bridgestone Duellers or whatever. A couple questions I had though, will the American Racing Jammer II's fit my truck? 15x8 rim, 6 lug, 6.5" bolt pattern I think? Basically i'm worried about the width... I don't wanna go so wide stuff starts to rub...or not fit at all. I might go with a 16x8 rim, but I doubt it...as of right now I'm gonna get the all-terrain tires, BUT I'm gonna stick with the stock size.

Those rims will totally fit. You'll have a bit of clearance from your tire to the body of your truck. The stock crome R/T rims from Mopar are 17X9 so you dont have to worry about space.

Awesome...thanks...

My stock wheels/tires are friggin narrow... wheels - 15x6, tires are 215's. I always thought the R/T wheels were 17x8, that's why I was kinda worried bout the width. Thanks for the reply.

That the right specs for my truck? In other words...will it fit with no problems using stock size all-terrain tires? 235/75-15 or 215/75-15 (if they don't have the 235's) Bridgestone Dueler A/Ts. Before anyone comments about how small the tires are, please remember my truck is a 2wd and I don't wanna screw up my speedo since my driving record already sucks as far as speed goes. lol

Okay...found a link on American Racing's site that says this is what will fit my truck. Guess I should have read a lil more before posting.

Product Number: 6186868
Size: 16x8
Product Description: 16X8 6X4.25+25 CHRM JAMMER CHROME
Backside Spacing (in/mm): 5.5/140
Offset: 25 mm

Soooo... for one thing, is that info correct (98 Dakota Sport, 2wd...stock rims = 15x6.0)? My main question is, what tire size would I need with those to keep the same diameter so I don't throw my speedo off? Bridgestone Dueler A/T [some number] are the tires I'm getting prolly. Anyway yeah...notice I know NOTHING about tires except mine are really worn out and one has a bad leak and I need new ones before my 500 mile trip this coming weekend.

You're talking for the 16x8 one mentioned directly above your post, right?

Also what tire size will I need to remain at the stock diameter? 235/70-16?

Okay...here's what I'm getting unless the plan changes without my knowing (my dad is paying and taking the money for the wheels out of my account...the tires are on him).

16x8 American Racing Jammer II's (Chrome) as mentioned above.

Bridgestone Dueler APT3's in 235/70/16.

And thanks for the calculator Dan...I was trying to find one of those on Tirerack the other day. I thought they had one, but I never found it. You'll definitely be catchin some pics of it as soon as I get everything on. My cowl induction hood is supposed to be shipped tomorrow as well. w00t!

N56629,
Has your hood been shipped yet? I noticed you were in on the group buy as well.

Anyone interested, we're getting em for $400 shipped ($412 if using Paypal) from John Mercedes at Southeast R/T. Contact him about it if you want in on it...we're still needing a few more people to keep him from losing money on the deal. john@southeastrt.com

Yep, sent the money last Tues. I don't know when I'll get around to yet one more project, but it should be done by spring.

Just don't ask me what year.
