 Subject: autolite spark plugs-help!!

After reading about Autolites on this site I decided that they must be the best for my Dakota.Trouble is I live in England and they are not available over here.So I ordered a set from the USA.They have arrived and the plugs they have sent are Autolite Racing AR3923.On the invoice it states that they supersede 3923.
Have I got the correct ones? I don`t want to fit them until I`m sure.Somebody help a confused brit please.

I would think those are the racing plugs for heavily modified engines and not what you need. Check out their website, www.autolite.com. They have 3 plugs for my '95 dakota. resitor plugs (3924), platinum (AP3924) and double platinum (APP3924). The 3923's are the same as the 3924's only one range cooler.

Thanks Dan,Have spoken to the technical guy at Autolite and he tells me that the AR3923`s are the same except that the ground electrode has been cut back.
He assures me that they will be OK so I will try them.
Will let you know how things go.

G'day BRIT99 an Aussie here, I didn't know that they imported Daks into England!! Is it RH drive?of course, must be wild, I'd love to drive on the left side of the road again, sure is a strainge feeling cog swapping with the other hand. Lets us know if you have problems with your Autolites? could get some straight 3923's for you, about a $1.00 each here.

There are a few dealers that import Dodge trucks but no actual franchises so spares have to come from the US.
No my Dakota is LH drive which is even wilder on English roads.I also run a Pontiac Trans-Am[also LH drive]I just love US cars.People here think I`m crazy [,price of gas here etc.]
Thanks for the offer on the Autolites,will see how the AR3923`s run first.

G'day BRIT99 have you done any other mods to your dak? I have a 2002 RC v6 3.9 5speed, first truck I've ever owned and love it. Have had Mini's, Alfas and a few Nortons in my day, 1st bike was Norton 500 dominator twin. Where bouts in England do you hail from, I went walkabout there in 91, Scotland, Island & Europe. I have a `99 3.9 SLT auto,mods so far have been cosmetic[hard cargo lid,SS side bars,homemade grill]Have rebuilt all brakes and renewed rad.I`ve had it 6months and it`s my first truck and I am really enjoying it.
Have a restored 1955 Triumph Tiger 100 that I unwrap on sunny days,kick it into life and relive my mispent youth.
I`m in Hertford,about 30mls north of London,where are you in the US.
Some spares shops are begining to realise theres a market for Dodge truck spares and are starting to import parts here[got my brake parts of the shelf but had to order the rad]Thanks for the offer re; spares,if I get stuck for a part I will contact you.Parts are easy to get from the US but the shipping costs are a nightmare.
How do we swap E-mails? I`m a computer dummy.
