Subject: 3.7L w/dual air intakes...

Message:
this is more of a multi question post. One, will the dual air intakes make a noticable differance in performance? Is it too much air, or will the not enough air due to them being right ontop of the engine? If i put a 4.7 throttle body + the dual air intake, will that be too much? and last, can i put the 4.7 throttle body on right away, or are they other thing i need to do (chips, adjustments, etc.)

Thanks again guys

If it doesn't hurt it, it doesn't void the warranty. But to be safe, before I even took it in for work, I'd replace the noticeable aftermarket components with stock.

I don't think dual intakes would be worth it. Your TB throat is only 3" wide. Even if you had a quad-pipe intake with 8" of pipe, it will all have to fit through that 3" opening. Unless you have a turbo or supercharger, the engine can only take in so much air per minute. You best bet would be to route your intake pipe over to your passenger side wheel well and place your filter in the spot where your intake horn passed through. Then remove the plastic flap next to your passenger headlight. That should give your engine all the cooler air it can handle.

I forget the exact law, but you can do mods to your truck and not void anything as long as the mod is not the direct cause of a problem. I just had my clockspring (whatever the hell THAT is) replaced. I had no problem with my cold air filter set-up.
