hello all thanks for any and all advice
just bought my first dak 2002 3.9 sxt mt low miles
and my search for some more horses has been a slow sad one
i have started looking for a cold air intake that drops in nothing so far all other dak power plants including the 4 cyl have upgrades and mods
why so few for the 3.9 ?? what kind of upgrades have you guys and gals had good luck with
to get to the point
what should i do to the truck and how do i find the parts

actually a lot of the internal parts from a 5.2 will fit... hipo pistons, 1.7 rockers, larger valves with modified seats etc you just end up with a set for the extra 2 cylinders when you are done. JBA makes headers, you can get a larger throttle body, modify the intake and exhaust, custom tune the PCM and if you are a mechanical genius with access to a machine shop, port and polish your heads to greatly increase flow rate. you oughtta see how fast my "stock" 3.9 goes and how quick it is too!!!!
