 Subject: 92 Dak 2WD Steering Vibration?

1992 Dakota Sport 2WD, 3.9L, Automatic. When I start to turn my wheels to enter a parking spot, I get a loud and consistant vibration through my steering wheel. Keep in mind that it was not a popping, but an actual vibration. This used to only happen while it was in motion with the brakes applied, but today I parked uphill on an incline in a parking lot and had the vibration continue even after I had put the vehicle in park and straightened the wheels. Has anyone else had this happen to them, and what should I look into as the possible culprit? Thanks in advance!
