have a 94 standard cab 5 speed, 3 inch body lift, 33 inch mud terrains, and gas is killin mehere in georgia, just moved out to the boon docks and now I'm drivin 50 miles a day instead of 10, bah I hate it, so my question is I have the standard holly v6 tb on it, if I put a v8 tb on it, it should send more air in, but will the computer compensate for that air and send in more gas to the chambers thus making my gas milease worse??

Driving a 2800lb truck with 33" tires & the aerodynamics of a refridgerator is not the best way to get good mileage. And 50 a day is a lot of street time.

Putting a V8 TB on it will only make the mileage worse. If you're serious about getting better mileage, and you're not going to get it in our trucks, you'd best start looking at a small car. I also own a '96 neon & it gets excellent mileage. I use it for long drives 400+miles on a 10 gallon tank.

Actually, its the exact opposite.

The bigger TB will give you a little more power, so as long as you can keep from stomping on it all over the place, you should be able to get a little better mileage. It really shouldn't get worse.

More air means more gas means more power. So as long as you accelerate normally, you will have to use less pedal to get moving, and it will help your mileage.

It will stay the same at the worst, unless you get too big a TB (stay below 50mm, I think, or maybe 50mm is the biggest).
