 Subject: How much to replace these parts?

tranny, ball joints, what else would i have to look at replacing with a 97 v6 dakota with 130K? say i was going to do all the work my self, and the only cost would be for parts.

Just because of the milage, I wouldn't automatically assume the tranny is giving way. Even so, these tranny's have sensors, that typically go bad, vs. the whole tranny.
So if it were me, I'd spend the bucks to change the tranny fluid and filter, and while your there you might want to consider a shift kit.
Tranny stuff maybe over a 100.bucks
