Subject: MESH GRILL IN BUMPER VALANCE
IP: Logged

Message:
I bought this meshing material from one of the local custom shops. The stuff you cut to fit yourself and was wondering is there any type of cement of epoxy to use to glue down the mesh and keep it in place? I don't really want to put screws in the bumper valance. Any information would be helpful.

Thanks

I was wondering the exact same thing. Drilling holes in the bumper simply does not appeal to me.

OK GUYS, YOU ARE PUTTING THE MESH ON THE BACKSIDE RIGHT? JUST DO WHAT I DID AND GET SOME LARGE LINKAGE CLIPS OR COTTER PINS.HOOK THE PIN AROUND A LOOP IN THE MESH AND PUSH THE 2 HALVES OF THE PIN OVER THE LIP FROM THE BACKSIDE.IT WORKS GREAT AND NO HOLES ARE DRILLED IN YOUR $350 LOWER FASCIA!!!

I suggest you go to your local Paint store and pick up some Fusor...its a really neat product similar to expoxy...it mixes itself through disposable nozzles. Slip the tube in your caulk gun and have at it....It also works really well for fiberglass repair. If your bumper is an aftermarket one similar to my Stillen..the only thing that will bond to Urethane plastic is windshield caulk (Urethane Caulk). The fusor is very permanent and will not break easily, whereas the Urethane caulk is a little more pliable, yet strong.
