I want to install a full Hotchkis 2/3 suspension kit including Bilstein Shocks and swaybars on my truck. Who has the best prices on these parts? I'm having trouble finding dealers on the Bilstein shocks? Will my 255/65 R16 tires fit okay with this kit?

If you find out about the tires rubbing, please let me know. So far I am at the 50/50 mark, some say they will rub, some say they won't. You can save about $150 if you order the kit from Truck Performance Center, however they don't carry the Bilsteins, you will have to get them from Hotchkis direct, and the rears are on back order till christmas (I have been waiting for two months now with no nd in sight)

I've got this set-up. No rubbing at all. You do have to shave a little here and there, but the instructions are pretty clear.

I got the shocks from Hotchkis with the rest of the system. Everything came right away, except the rear springs took a couple of weeks. We wound up doing the front one weekend and the back the next. Doing the front made a huge difference. Frankly, doing the back didn't change the handling much, so I suspect you could use a different (i.e. cheaper and available) shock and never know.

Grant, What type of truck do you have, RC,CC,QC ?
also, what size tires and wheels are you running?
Mine is a QC, and the rear shocks are on backorder, I am looking into alternative shocks as we speak. What besids the bumpstop pad did you have to shave?

2001 QC 4.7L - I just added it to my signature

You cut off or drill out the rivets on the stock bump stops and install new smaller ones.

You trim off the ends of the frame where the bump stop is attached. This is actually for sway bar clearance.

I just checked th Hotchkis web site, they have the instructions online- with color pictures.

I'm still running the stock 16x8s with 255/65R16s. I intend to go to 18x8 with 255/55R18s.

With the Hotchkis drop, you can go as big as 285/50R18 with 18x9.5 in the rear (the Hotchkis HR/T show truck had these). I doubt you can go wider than 255 in the front.
