I want to put a cowl hood on my '97 dak, and I was wondering how much should I pay for it w/ paint...I just don't wanna get ripped off

With painting you shouldn't pay more than $700-$800. You can get the Reflexxions steel cowl hood for around $400-$500 and painting shouldn't be much more than $300.
