Subject: suggestions for a '92?

Message:
I've got a '92, and haven't done much to it, except for RT mags + wheels, limo tint and headlight covers. I have no chrome and don't want any, the front black bumper looks shitty on a red truck. I was thinking about a new hood, maybe dual exhaust. Not sure where this truck is heading, any suggestions?

Ya I have a 92 as well and all I've done is paint the instrument bezel and added a stereo to it. Not much out there for our trucks which is a bummer cause they are great. Sorry I can't be much help but feel free to email me.

Us 2nd gen guys gotta stick togeather, I've got a 93' that's got some work and it's not easy. However if you keep looking you will find something, here's some options.

Trenz billet grill inserts - godfathercustoms.com
Hoods & airdams - aarqualityfiberglass.com
Roll pans - sirmicheals.com
6 lug wheels - Mondera.com
up to 4" drop - belltechcorp.com
flushmount tonneau - checkerpro.com
clear corners - procarparts.com
paintable V-tech tail light covers - godfathercustoms.com

There's a few things you can find for the 2nd gens that have helped me, hopefully this may assist you guys in getting your truck looking good. I don't understand why there isn't a bigger aftermarket for these trucks either, they look good and they are damn fine trucks!

I'm currently working on my '92. I've owned the truck for 8 years and it has seen some different "faces." Right now I've converted the front to a five lug pattern using the 87-90 rotors and I put a 8 3/4 rear-end underneath it using a Chassis Engineering 4-link kit. The bed has a slight "mini" tub and I'm able to get 12 1/2 inch Mickey Thompsons tucked up in the wheel wells. The front has been dropped 4 inches using Western Chassis spindles and DJM springs, while out back the rear can be adjusted to (almost) any height I want, with a custom C-notch on the frame. As far as style parts, I've shaved the tailgate with a Mark-K shell that slides directly over the old tailgate. This is a very nice piece and would recommend it to anyone who wants to get the shaved look. Also, I used a Mark-K steel roll pan that I had molded into the bed. I was able to find a simple, but nice cowl induction hood from AAR Fiberglass in Florida. Super nice hood and it fit perfectly with no trimming what-so-ever. As far as your front bumper, there isn't a whole lot out there, but what I did was shave the bumper bolts and had it painted the same color as the truck, and dressed up the grill with the typical (but nice) billet grill insert. If you need anything else I'll give you my e-mail address (in private) and give you some extra pointers on the Gen-II.
