Is there any way to make the turn signals flash quicker? I am not looking for a disco strobe light, just would like for them to blink about twice as fast as they do now. Do they make a faster acting relay or something? anyone know?

You could always switch to LED bulbs, that would make them blink faster. It's an expensive way to do it, but it works and you're lights will be brighter. I'm sure you could find a faster FLASHER at a ricer shop or something. Good luck,
- Matt

I have my signals so they alternate, back and forth and faster as well almost 3 times faster. The way that I did it aparently can be done to upto a 99, cause a guy I know with a 00 durango tried to do it the same way as mine but didn't work. I'm gonna try and get them so that the bulbs are bright all the time then dim as the signal goes. I have to wait for it to get back from the body shop first.

you have to pull the bulb outlets out, there is 3 wires going into the outlet. Take one of the outside wires and switch it with the center one. But it doesn't actually blink both as one blinks the other dims to make it look alternating. Pictures yes I have alot check out my site...

Go to Rat Shack and pick up a potentiameter, I do not remember which type, so you will have to do some research; you get to set the speed with just the turn of a dial!

A potentiometer? I don't know much about this topic, but if you hooked up a pot inline, all that would do is make the lights dimmer. And even if you hooked it up before the flasher relay it still wouldnt do anything, but maybe make it flash SLOWER.

My dad went to autozone to buy a new flasher relay and the man behind the counter said that the replacement relay would flash double speed. And sure enough, it flashes twice the speed.

I have a 2001 Dakota...

Was curious if anyone knew what the relay model was and where it was located. I've asked a Discount Autoparts and they couldn't look it up. No service manual either!

On 2001 Daks the flasher is located just inside the rear taillights...theres 1 on each side. They dont make heavy duty ones, just add a second one on each line.

I dont know about ricers blinkin at different speeds, but its REALLY COOOL! I would try upgrading to a higher number blinker fluid, try a DOT3 or DOT4

Here is the only place I found where you can order blinker fluid without being a dealer.

http://www.kalecoauto.com/

There is also many other hard to find performance items. I hope this helps.

I have recently noticed that my right turn signal blinks at least three times faster than the left side. This lack of balance is beginning to bother me. If anyone knows how to fix this or have them both blink fast, please respond.

YOu might have your turn signal wires crossed on one side. If you cross the power wires the lights will blink different speeds. Switch them back.
