I have a 93' standard cab with buckets and the room I have is terrible, I can only happily fit myself and one other passenger so I'd like to have a bench seat in my truck. I know a Gen 2 dakota bench will fit, but will it mount directly on the tracks from the buckets? what will I need to do?

BlakDagMagnum... Do you have (2 seat) bucket or sixty forty bench/bucket? If you have the 2 seat bucket and are interested in the sixty forty... I'll trade ya! (providing a decent color) If this appeals you let me know.

*If not- just measure the brackets under the seats, and when you find new ones that you like measure them out and see if they match. I've heard it's easier to use the brackets that are in now and put the new seat on them. That way you don't have to drill new holes... good luck....*

I'd definatly be interested in swapping. My buckets are grey, you could have the center console too, what else would I use it for? Question though. What color is your 60/40? Does it have a fold down arm rest that opens like a console? with the arm rest up is it a full bench? My buckets & console are gray. Get back to me, now if only we could figure out how to ship them, and what to put in there while we are waiting for them! lol, let me know.

Where do you live? I'm in Texas and have a 95 Sport with a bench. The color is a greyish/blue. I think it's quite a bit more grey than blue, I've never taken a real good look at it.

I've had the truck since Oct. and can't stand the bench. If you live around here we could do the swap on a weekend, tracks and all. That is, if you do not mind dealing with an 18 year old kid. :)

Lol, well I don't mind dealing with an 18 year old kid considering I'm only 19 lol. It's just I live in Ky so that seems a little difficult. I don't mind my buckets so much it's just my girl wants me to put in a bench, who am I to complain :-)

You're right, that would be a little difficult. :)

But hey, if anyne actually does live around here and wants to swap. Bring it on.

I really don't understansd why they put a bench in a 5 Speed truck. :(

I got two bucket seats in mind from a early 90's Probe. So if you still are interested and the Probe seats fit... I'll still give you a hell of a deal, if you want them. Let me know

Hello, I've got a '93 Dakota ext cab with bucket seats. I'm also looking for a 60/40 bench seat to replace my worn out bucket seats. I'd prefer a 40/20/40 bench seat w/ the built in console. Has anyone tried to modify a full size Dodge bench seat to fit into a Dakota? I'm not worried about the redrilling or welding, but mainly concerned about larger bench seat being to big for the cab of my Dakota. Thanks, Wes
