LOL! I don't spend too much time on here - I had a thread reply notification on this old thread.
I actually joined dakotatrucks a while back. I kind of got turned off by the way that Lyn was always getting in fights with people on other sites. He made a real a$$ of himself over on moparchat. I spend a lot of time on dodgetrucks.org. Nice guys.
The motor is taking a while! The more I do, the more I decide, well, since I'm here, I might as well...
It is upside down right now, awaiting ARP studs for the windage tray. I'm thinking now about pistons, rods. I'm not in a hurry, I want to do it right... especially since I've spent a couple of grand on parts alone so far.

I wish I had the space to do what your doing. What kind of power are you going to be putting to the wheels.

LOL - Space! Space? What is that! My "shop"
is the mudroom on the back of the kitchen!
You should have seen us getting that motor
up and through the doorway!!! It works though,
even though it is about the size of a walk in
closet.
Not sure how much power I am going to end
up with - I guess it depends on whether I do
the bottom end too. I've got a pretty healthy
cam from KRC and the windage tray is
supposed to add a good 12-15 hp lol!

One of my DTO friends just put my mods and
numbers through his desktop dyno program
and came up with this:

Desktop dyno predicts 364 hp @ 5000 and
404 tq @ 4000 rpm.

Not bad numbers.

Throwing ported head numbers in would give
you 388 hp @ 5500 rpm
and 414 tq @ 4500 rpm.
