i just replaced my head light bulbs on a 2002 dakota..i took out the 3 bolts and removed the piece and after reinstalling everything it seems like the headlight sits too low. there is a gap from between the top of the truck and the top of the head light.

The bulbs can be replaced without removing the headlight assemblies. Recommend you check into doing it that way.

Look at the lettering on the lens .
Is it right side up and level ?
Some assemblies have 'positioning' tabs
which need to be lined up properly..
