I got a scratch on my front passanger window tint and was wondering if anyone knows the best/proper way to remove it so that I can redo it. It's not a factory tint or anything, I had it done after I got the truck.

I spray it with rubbing alcohol and burn it off.

You could contact a local window tint shop. I believe there is a chemical they use that helps to dissolve the glue from the old tint. Use the chemical and a razor blade to clean it off and then just clean the glass well with an ammonia based glass cleaner.

I think down in redneck country they just use an angle grinder.

Or you could keep scratching it and make a purty picture.

Good info; a family member just got a fix-it ticket for having it on the front two side windows of her Maxima tinted. What a pain in the a$$, how the hell are you supposed not have tint on your windows in Socal. Its going to be over 100 today. You can drive by a police station and look at all of the officers personal cars and they all have tint.

Oh well there's my rant, because I'll be the one taking it off.
