 Subject: Repacing front bumper

I have 98 sport with the metal upper bumper and plastic valence. I bought a replacement that is all plastic that is listed as fitting 97-2004 dakota/durangos. The problem is that the bracket form the old bumper doesn't look like it will fit on the new one. Has anyone done this swap ... wil it work with new brackets?

all plastic front bumper? you sure you dont have just a cover to go over the steel one like what the R/T's have
