I've got a 2nd generation extended cab pickup and thought about
powering the side rear windows. The newer Chevy Ventures ( and
i'm sure many more vehicles) have power rear side windows, all it is
is a motor that turns and moves the window out. Has anybody tried
this and how hard do you guys think it may be to install. I probably
won't try it for a while yet but could be a cool idea for a real slick
install. ANY THOUGHTS....??????

It'd be even cooler if you could rig something to make them roll all the way down... THAT would be SWEET.. but your idea is more sensable to the average joe.. thanks for the idea

Yea, tell me how it works for ya carmen, Rolling the windows down would require alot engineering but possible. Having say 6X9's where the original speakers go in the back may effect how it would work(theirs only so much room) I heard of people making custom roll down windows on vehicles but if it is not done correctly it can easily leak or even worse... shatter. Anyway's i thought some of you guys might like that. Makes you wonder why manufactures haven't done this yet... they've got the technology...........

i've been thinking about the powered rear vents for a long time. should be fairly simple to add if you get the full wiring and actuators etc out of a junked voyager or caravan or similar.
