i was wondering is it possible to modify my normal hitch into a hidden hitch so i can save some money and not have to buy a brand new one?
or is it just simpler to buy a hidden hitch

depends how confident you are with the work involed....i cant see modding the current hitch to a hidden hitch being all that complex..
steel is cheap enough so i personally would try it...
all i can think of is get the roll pan first then just remake the mount for the hitch to line up with your new pass through plate mount..
like i said just depends on how well you can work with steel...and the equipment you have at your disposal.......
