Has anyone ever made a stepside for Dakota Quad cab? Would it it even be possible to get one off
a s10 or f\s chevy pickup cut and weld it to make
a custom fit? I know that they do make them for
a Dodge Ram for about $3800
Thanks TI+US

Are you asking about Stepside rear fenders or running board side steps in lieu of tubular side steps?

Late in '01 I was notifed by my dealer that he had discovered side steps available from Dodge. They are shown in the latest accessories catalog. It looks like there are two items to buy, the side steps and a set of additional panels that extend forward and back. About $1000 total plus about $200 installation. I'm tying to find more info before I drop that much money. My truck has wheel flares and the service department could only shrug when I asked if they would interfere with the fit.

Let me know what you find.

i can say in between 1996-1997 i was down around the Mexican boarder and i saw a ram stepside so... there just might be a dakota stepside you just got to look in some strange places. in Mexico they make a SUV that's the size of the ram, but it just doesn't meet U.S. requirements. so, check the Mexican dodge website. i hope you find what your looking for.

I have a 97 ram step side that I recently bought. I've havent seen anything like it, if any one has any info on them I would like to know a little more about it like what kind of bed it is, it kinda looks like a early 90's chevy stepside?

Why do you want a smaller, trasher looking Box?

Sorry I hate stepsides.
