Where was this at? I'd like to see that truck, maybe he's on cardomain as well? Quad cab I assume and also silver? Yeah my truck is a lot of work but it's worth it everytime I get a second glance and everytime I get behind the wheel :)

i have no idea i was really upset when i saw it cuz 2 mins later i saw that other dakota that is on car domain, the one that is painted escalade pearl w/the body kit, i thought there was a dakota meet that i didnt know about. It was at the block in orange ( orange county ) California. I dont know the person and ive never seen the truck before but the front was riding super high and the back was slammed, he was flyin down the freeway

well it definately wasn't me then cuz I'm in Arizona. I'll be rolling to southern cali next month though to go to six flags and then San Diego. Got recent pics of your ride? If I remember correctly, you have a black truck with rvm spade 20's right?

patriot blue w/spade rims yeahh, thats me. i need to take some new ones, most of the stuff ive been doing has been inside though, i added a back up camera though and a rear view mirror tv. on the outside there isnt really much that i can think of, i need to paint the one piece of my front bumper though and get a tonneau

Wow, I'm lazy. I still havent taken any pics. If and when i do, bare with me...there is like a million of those little black luv bugs around here so having a nice shiny red truck for the pics is impossible.

you guys who painted you stuff with krylon spray can paint are gonna be mad when that laquer paint fails and the shop charges you double to fix it because its alot more work to strip off that crappy paint that you put on,good luck,keep the painting to the pros

Cars and trucks are full of urethane (plastic) and there is no reason for an extra charge. However, as someone pointed out, paint and materials are not cheap. I just got done paying about $125 a quart and gallons are running from $300-400.
I never imagined that there were four shades of Intense Blue. The first attempt at matching, using the fuel cover door, was a failure. Parts came out too light. This meant scuffing and repainting everything. Some paint jobs are just a nightmare and you have to charge enough to cover worst case senarios.
In the end it's all worth it.

Auctually, if you approach painting handles, grilles/shells, ect. like you would a metal peice, expect your ish to peel. Example *goes to kitchen and gets an orange*

im getting my bumper and that piece between my hood and
windsheild painted while my truck is getting re painted thanks to
the kid that keyed it..
comprehensive coverage on my insurance though, cant turn down a
free paint job
and a rental car that gets amazing gas mileage haha

ahhh well yes that thing is getting painted, and this auto body shop
near me is down to do everything under the table for cash, once i
buy my other truck im gonna like leave it w/them, im getting the
whole rear end all welded together, shaved tailgate and a new
metal roll pan welded everything to one solid piece, i was gonna do
cadillac tails but they are like 500 bucks. im getting everything
done and painted for like 450... what do you think?
