i had the dealer put the dodge hood bugguard on my dakota quad 2001..well it seems too have alot of play in it ,,from wind,,while drivin....the little bumpers r on there but they dont actually support it from movin???and as far as i can see the guard can not be mounted any further back???
any ideas???
it is the right one the little sticker on bottom of it says for 2001 dakotas..

Have you spoke w/ the Dealer that installed it? If that was uneventful try buying some longer bumpers

Bryan, i had the same style bug shield from mopar installed on my 98 dakota. It does have some play in it and it does seem to shake and move some in the wind. I've had it installed for over 3 years now and i haven't had any problems. That is just the way it is designed. As for the little bumpers on the hood, i guess their only there in case something big would hit it and prevent it from rubbing up against the paint. As long as your bug shield doesn't rub the paint, it is installed correctly. Hopes this helps.
