Whatever. There's no rule book to "customizing". If you want the euros, get the euros.

Ebay is one way. JCWhitney or Procarparts are another couple of options. You can get them all over the place. Just do some surfin' first and find the best price.

you would be better off buying a billet grill or a rollpan. The euro's for the dak's look like poopoo IMHO.

or better yet put your $150 or so $$$ into the stock market while its low

Don't get them. They aren't even really respected in the import community. The "Altezzas" aren't even euro, they are styled after the Toyota Altezza(JAPAN ONLY), or the car they call the Lexus IS300. they have been on the altezza for years and thats the only car they look good on. Besides, the best look for an import or domestic, car or truck, is ALL red except for clear reverse. OH WAIT!!! IT'S ALREADY LIKE THAT!!! Thats why its the best damn truck on the market!

Sorry about the import stuff. Many import friends, but dont worry.
My heart belongs to my dear departed 4.7 RC (New one on the way soon)

P.S. Living in SoCal I see a lot of fixed up vehicles. My friends are varied. Rice,Stang,Bow Tie,Ram Tough. My best advice is to not follow any trends, and dont be different just to be different (A guy in my neighborhood has an old POS with grass growing on it!) Just make it clean, I cant stress that enough KEEP IT CLEAN.
No Yosemite Sam mud-flaps, no extra exhaust tips (405 frwy, blue dodge ram v-10, WITH TEN EXHAUSt TIPS), No F40 wings, NO NEON (STUPID FAST AND FURIOUS, no self respecting street racers has neon.), no chrome fender trim or door trim, NO STICKERS, NO STICKERS (Calvin,LBZ,bad boys, they all suck). in other words keep it simple, tasteful, and clean no matter what you drive. Body kits are fine, Wheels......Good, A nice exhaust.......GREAT, just keep it clean

Sorry about the soapbox, got a little worked up

Eric, I live in Simi Valley, The Honda Civic "Air Filter Warrior" capitol of the world hehehe. Ive lived in Simi about 9 years, but before that I lived in "The Valley" forever. I work in Westlake Village, So I Actually get out of simi quite a bit. Im fairly new to this site (I just got my dsl,ex aol and prodigy dial-up), and for some reason never found it when i actually had my truck. I checked out a lot of the postings, and seems to be a fairly nice group of fourms. Ive seen your postings, but dont remember what your tracks has. so wathca got? I HAD(stupid Howard Hughes Parkway on ramp!! BTW to everyone, If you have an r/t or run r/t wheels, stay away form Goodyear Eagle GT II's it's not worth the money you save!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) ok so I had a 2000 Flame Red RC 4.7 5spd 3.92 lsd, Polished r/t wheels, power everything, Bucket seats, 2 10"vega subs in custom center console i built, and the mopar bed cover WHICH SUCK, the set screws for the hinge were placed wrong, so the bed cover slid from side to side on the hinge, i noticed 2 late, ruined my paint!!!!! I loved that truck, I took me 5 months to get on order. I ordered it in JUNE 1999 got it a week after Thanksgiving, so i basically had one of the very first 4.7 5spd in country. and a custom intake pipe. it ran 15.0 on a gtech

You ever notice how easy it is to get hook-ups in Socal, so many of the companies are based here. if the rest of the country only knew HAHAHA I havent paid full price on car parts for years. And if you like electronics, it all about FRYS

See what I mean. I bet neil has given his friends all sorts of sweet carbon fiber shat. But Seriously neil, that sounds like one of the greatest jobs if heard of in sa while! Almost as good as the people who (no joke) work for the credit card companies, and whos sole job is to go out and anonomously test credit card readers by just go to stores and buying crap. the stuff is then donated to charity for a tax write-off. now thats a job. hehehe

If you guys give me a few days I'll see if i can dig them up. The only problem is that never completely finished it, but i will describe what i had so far, and what was going to be done.

ok first i took out the whole center console. the parts i saved were the cupholder section and the lid to the console. then i removed the back panel of the cab. i try to get the box measurements (I still have it), but basically the cup was in the stock location, and the box started from the end of the cupholder and went all the way to the back of the cab. I went as wide as i could go for the width and not have the cones hit the seat belt latch or the side of the seat. as for heigth, the top of the box was about 1" taller than the height of the cupholder. more on that later. the box was rectangular, but that didnt mater because it wasn't ported. I was goin for clean, tight, and accurate bass, not boomy, muddy, "i cant distinguish between different bass tones" bass.
the farthest i got on the project before the accident was with the box and cup hulder mounted in the truck with 1 amp just kickin it behind the seat until i finished the back panel. the back panel was goin to be 1/2" ply with 1" skirts around it, and I was going to recess the 2 amps
in that so that you would only see the tops off the amps. the panel would also have a notch cut out to fit around the box. i was in the process of making 3/4 inch deep storage compartment screwed to the top of the box that would utilize the lid from the o.e. console. as for the height difference, i was going to make a contoured piece of wood that would match the lines of the cup holder and just chisel out a hole and use a little metal bar for the latch on the lid. this piece and the 3/4 storage piece i was going going to paint flat black. as for the carpet it was a dark gray that came close to the factory color.
the cost without electronics was about $100. that covered all the wood, carpet, hardware, and paint.

oh one other thing t fill in the gap between the underside of the cupholder and the front of the box i was going to use a carpeted piece of wood screw to the box , but (this is the best part) on the drivers side i was going to make another carpeted piece that was very thin and put in on a little spring loaded hinge. looking at it, both sides would be the same, but under the door was going to be my T-valve, on/off switch, and a purge button!!! for a certain oxygen rich gas. hahahaha

I like the fake carbon fiber euros, the chrome euros don't turn me on much. Like for me, I've got a black CC with white dodge factory stickers and clear lenses all around. You're going to laugh when I tell you I have my drums and capilers painted white, I have the riceyest truck around. And If you don't like it, so what. I like it. I see a lot of pics of stuff I don't like, but I don't go tell them that their truck is ugly, or what they want to do is ugly. btw, I too love real carbon fiber. I race in a carbon fiber thong to keep the weight down. I wish I had a big sheat of carbon fiber. I know I'm probally going to get told off for speaking my mind. but oh well

The Euro tails aren't for everyone... I like my chrome euros, but only because they look good on my silver R/T - most of the other dakota colors don't complement them well. The same for the carbon fibers - it only looks good on some models.

Chrome - Silver, White, Graphite trucks. Black if you want the ricer look. Trucks with chrome grills/wheels/etc.

Carbon Fiber - Red, Black, IB/AB, Graphite trucks. Darker colors.

I was really disappointed about the euros. There isnt enough "meatball" in the light at all. Like ones for a dodge neon or a S-10. They have a HUGE Red Round lens compare to a Dakotas little pencil flashlight but HEY ... whatever floats your boat. Self expression is an ok thing.
I personally stuck with the white on white truck theme. I get an junkload of compliments but then again, its Missouri :p
And "shave it, LED in the pan guys" SOME can't do that at all cause its illegal!!! Missurrah has a silly law about back tail lights being at least 15 inches from the ground. I think it has something to do about all these horse trailers that screwed it up for the reast of use.... Who knows! Buddy of mine found that out with the stock tail lights on a body droped S-10
