The interiors been done for about 8 months now so there is a few minor scrapes and scuffs. I'll clean her up today and take picture. but pictures won't be up until tomorrow. to I bout a pair of those stupid crystal clear headlights and now theres a hole bunch of condensation or water inside them that wont ever come out but the other headlight is fine i just wish id didn't have to pull them out and mess with them. Have any of you bought those headlights and had any problems with them. they are royally pissing me off. You pay a decent amount of money for somthing and then its all screwed up somehow. Why don't we show off our quad cabs if there are any. Thats my favorite cab style. I remember back in 1999 I was about 14 years old and my parents and I were taking a trip up to Corpis Christi and on a billboards on the way I saw a billboard that had a red quad cab on it. That was the first time I had ever even recognized the dakota as a truck and had wanted one ever since until my 16th birthday and I received one. Does't have a v8 but why complain It was still a badass truck just a little slower than the others. Actually a lot slowrer than the others. But over time I have spent time money on making the little 3.9l champ more powerful. I can't beat a v8 still but I can stay right at a v8's rear quarter panel. Add supercharger and ill be gone into the mid 14 second barrier or high thirteens if I upgrade the fuel system. I woundn't swap to any other engine unless its a 426 Hemi, Viper V10, or a Banks CUMMINS Turbo Deisol. I'm addicted to torque. I also bought real recently a 1992 Dodge Stealth Twin Turbo with AWD, AWS, and it came with a five speed. It fast but it can feel very sluggish because it weighs 3800 Ibs. Thats 500 Ibs shy of my truck. Pros and Cons to both vehicles. Just like any vehicle. There is no such thing as a problem free vehicle that has no cons. My dad spent 87,000 dollars on a new 04 Porche Cayanne turbo and he had it back into the dealership for his fifth time. And its only got almmost 10,000 miles on it. SO even the most expensive cars aren't problem free. ANy ways I'll post pics of all my families cars tommorrow.

Yes, Quad Cabs are the greatest Dakotas available. I wouldn't like my truck half as much if it was a crew or standard. I love room, and for a little truck, has plenty.

About the headlights....I have diamond headlights and I haven't ran into any probs with them as of yet. They've only been installed since september though. My luck I probubly spoke too soon, and will end up fogged up in the next week. :o(

I wonder if the company would be courteous enough to send me just the right headlight. Since it is a default wiht their product. I think they just didn't seal the lens good enough. I'll contact them that way we'll know what to do if it happens to any of you who also have them. I was thinking about taking the headlights apart and puttin a couple of fog lights inside of them so that they look like real projectors. WHat do you think? THink it'll be to hard? OREOKOTA

i have the same problem with mine i have had 2 sets both do it. its starts with the passenger side then the driverside did it too. i sent the first pair back but the second pair did the same thing. on the turn signal on the passenger side one of the sockets hits the bottom of the headlight so it doesnt seat correctly. so far i have had 3 sets of the clear corner lights and all of them have the same prob. you can take them out and heat them up with the heat gun and take them apart then reseal them with clear silicone but you have to silicone the socket in to the housing to insure no water. thats a lot of work though so im working on building custom projector headlights.

What is with up with those chrome gas filler doors that people put on their trucks? Why would you even want to draw attention to it?!!! Appreciate the perfect lines you already have...

I run a sleeper QC, other than the dual Dynomax exhaust and Lund grill covers to keep me warm on those cold winter mornings, my 5.9 looks stock...

Dak20s - "...and in the last year, ive come to realize dakotas arent exactly the "cadillacs" of minitrucks...they dont ride that well, tons of little "kinks", and the mods are expensive as hell..."

Actually I think the Dakotas ARE the cadillacs of not-so-fullsize trucks...theyre the nicest design smaller truck, the most powerful small truck..they are the smoothest adn best riding small truck given the larger size, power and weight. Did i mention theyre the biggest of the compact trucks..yeah. But they are expensive as hell to mod, thats for sure, but its totally worth it to not have the same crappy S-10 everyone else has!

Dakota *Quad Cabs* are indeed the sexiest(yes, i said sexiest) trucks available; full, mid, or compact. Doesn't matter, they have the all around best design. I would pick my 2000 quad cab over any truck available.(except for a lincoln blackwood)
