I installed the factory steel skid plates on my 2004 Dakota Quad Cab. Front Diff. and Trans. case. Too bad there is not one for the gas tank. This was the easiest mod ever. Pics at

Any one know where I can get a steel plate to replace the plastic shield at the very front?

Nice truck.
My '04 QC 4x4, has all options including skid plates and according to the sticker, there is a skid plate for the gas tank. I'll have to get under it in the morning and see what it is.

Please let me know if you do. I read that there was not one available for the QC. It really does not look like there would be attachment points.

Front and xfer case are metal and the gas tank skid plate is plastic.
