 Subject: infinity tweeter grill dressup?

I have the infinity system in my 99 dak and I want to dress up the tweeter grill where it says "infinity" I would like to paint that white. now here is the problem how am i supposed do that. my thoughts were some model car paint and a syrenge(spelling)and inject the paint in there? any suggestions? or do I have the right idea, if so should i thin it out with thinner or something to make it dry harder, mabye some enamel harderner? any suggestions are appreciated.

I don't know the exact name of it, it looks like a crayon (grease pencil) and they come in different colors. You rub it into the lettering and wipe off the excess and it cures. Should be able to find it at a hobby shop or www.brownells.com Good Luck

Rip off the grill covers, replace all speakers with the KAPPA series, and use the KAPPA tweeter covers.

i want a factory look genius any one can put in aftermarket speakers. i was looking for a small dress up to the factory grill's not a new set of tweets!

Yeah I know what you mean. I am just disappointed with the Infinity system. I have had the 4 woofers replaced twice. Right now I'm looking into going aftermarket since my warranty is running out soon.

Im with Acrophobia. Put kappa's in. For the price they have the best mids and highs out there. The infinty kappa line is much better than that oem infinity crap. and you can install them under the stock grill so you can great sound and just the look your lookin for

My Kappa tweeters sit behind the factory tweeter grilles....
no use advertising.
As for painting the lettering, try thinned-down Testor's model paint and IMMEDIATELY wipe off the excess with laquer thinner on a cloth, followed by protectant (ArmourAll-type stuff).

I have a 2001 Quad Cab with the infintiy system.What size are the factory speakers,are they 6 1/2" or 6 3/4".
