Subject: swaping buckets for bench
IP: Logged

Message:
Greetings. I just got a 99 Dakota regular cab. It has bucket seats with the arm rest in between. I'd like to find a split bench for it, gray color which I have now, any one know where I can get one or trade mine for one? Also, can the center seat belt be installed?

Thank you all.

I'm kinda confused! Do you have the floor mount console? And you want a split bench? Do you want the 40/20/40 split bench? The 40/20/40 has a whole seat, and a folding console! I have the 40/20/40, and would be willing to trade for a bucket seat with floor mount. I'll give you the center seat belt too. It bolts to the floor, its pretty obvious once you get it apart! Where do you live, seats are pretty heavy, and shipping would be expensive on both ends. I only have one person at a time in my truck anyway, so the center seat does me no good.

I live in the Columbus Ohio area. Yes the 40/20/30
split is what I'd like to have. We have a van I could drive part way depending on where you are. One I have are factory bucket seats with the arm rest that opens into another glove box like. They are smoke gray cloth seats with gray center consol/arm rest.

Not sure Danl. Someone who posted a reply with the name "Questions" above mentioned a trade. What Id be looking for is the same year or close to it, with the center arm rest that folds up. Called a 40/20/30 split bench with seat belt. Im sure it will be hard to find one same color and all but cant hurt to try. Mine is I guess is called smoke gray?

Thanks anyways

I think you mean 40/20/40! I'm confused too, is your center console really deep, and connected to the floor? Is your seat a bunch of colors all wound together, making it look grey? If so we have the same color seats, and I would be interested in swapping you. I am about 200 miles from columbus.

Ok, I dont have any pics for you, but I guess I can describe them to you. You obviously know what the 40/20/40 is, or you wouldn't be looking for one, so I'll spare you that part. My seats are the color of the middle parts of your seats. There are no light grey areas on my seat back, or bottom. I think they are the solid grey around the sides of the seat, but the part you sit on is all that weird multi color kind that is in the middle of your seats. The seats like mine are actually a little easier to keep clean (personal opinion). Weekends are good for me too, As for the center seat belt, Its yours... I've never used it! Any more questions, or ideas when and where to meet?

I would e-mail you, but am going to bed soon, so this is faster. I would say my seats are in great condition! No rips, tears, wear marks, stains. Never been smoked in, so no burns, or stink! I will e-mail probably tomorrow sometime!
