 Subject: Exhaust out side of bed

Has anyone dumped the exhaust out the side of their bed??? I mean actually cutting a hole close to the bottom (not sure what that areas is called) Roughly about 6 inches up from the stock location. If so any pics or suggestions??

i am looking into same thing, wonder if frame is in way i think so. i found some really cool marine exhaust tips that would look SWEET. search marine exhaust tips the company is c.p. marine or something similar

Yes, the frame and spring shackles are in the way. But with a little creative welding you can fix that. I've seen it done, and it looks pretty slick. If I had any free time, I might consider doing that to my truck.

It does look a little tight. I think i may just try to create a little knotch for the tip to tuck up into........ hmmmm

im doing the same thing and ive found some marine tips i like, but they have "internal flappers". how hard is it to rip those out of the tip?

i have mine coming out in front of the wheel threw the body close to the bottom looks really swweeeeet and theres tones of room to hang the piping over the frame. Mopar headers 3 inch hiflow cat and dynomax muffler..... sounds like a race car ;)

What year is yours? I was looking at mine cause I wanted to exit the exhaust in front of the wheels and couldn't really see an easy way without going under the frame??

98 extended cab 2wd theres tones of room! I dont think frame changed in those years but what do i know...lol

Tips look good, but i just have my exaust dumped. It sounds good and i dident have 2 worry about where to put the tips. Haha.
