Right now I have stock sport mirrors, im considering painting them to match, or buying aftermarket ones and painting them to match. I really like the look of a few diffrent ones I have seen. But I havent seen them on any trucks. I was wondering as to the size difference when you buy aftermarket. Also anyone know where you can get some at a good price?

jonas, do you have the 6x9's or the smaller ones? i have seen both painted and the smaller ones look OK, but the 6x9's look like ass! I ditched the 6x9's and wint with the streetscene mirrors (the truck came with power but i got the manuals because i didnt want to pay the extra $100. and i painted them to match) the manual ones are like $90, power is $200. they also make a mirror that has a blinker in it like the expiditions, they are about $350-390. you can get them at traders or dealer's sport truck. good luck

Referring to the signal mirrors ...

I have seen signal mirrors both up close and on the road and they are truly impressive. The original manufacturers of the signal mirrors is K.W. Muth (http://www.kwmuth.com/ ) Muth makes the signal mirrors for both the 6x9 and 5x7 mirrors.

Check out http://www.walt-n-ingrid.com/ram_page.html and towards the bottom of the page are a couple photos of the signal mirrors in operation. These photos are very close to what they look like in real life.

I plan on getting a set for my 5x7 stock mirrors, but there's other things ahead of them on the list.

Thanks chuck, But actually Im looking for the sport sport mirrors with the signal light built into the front of the mirror, they look like the new mercedes benz mirrors. They have them on a few sale websites like www.truckperformance.com and in a few mag. ads in "Truckin'"

UPDATE: I ended up painting my stock sport mirrors. I found a body shop here that would actually let me do my own work with their equiptment and help! Really cool people, (Stewarts Precision Autobody). I pulled off my door panels (thanks Chuck) and then removed my mirrors. Then I taped off the actuall mirror. I then clamped them down and used my dremel to very carfully remove the factory )lines. I then hit them with 3 coats of a primer(flexable)to fill in the texture. Then later hand wet sanded them(2.5 hrs) to a perfect smooth finish. I mounted them on a rack in the paint room. I used house of kolor flame red paintto match my truck (mixed by computer) and applied 4 coats, then I hit then with a few coats of clear, lightly wet sanded again, polished, waxed and OOOOO do they look good. They are flawless and look amazing. I drove to the dealer to compare them with stock, what a change! P.S. I resanded my handels at the same time(wasnt happy with them)im a perfectionist( what can you do) Ill be posting pics probally soon next week and hope to have my website up asap

Smoke'em if you got em! (tires, he he)
