Subject: question on a blinking light off timing
IP: Logged

Message:
hey I havn't been here in a while. If anyone has even seen a chopper built by orange county choppers you have probable seen how they will run led lights of the distributor at the belt drive. it makes a cool blinking effect dependent on engine speed. I really like the way it does this and have decided to use a motorcycle theme to complete my truck. to be diferent.

My question is what would i need to do to run a set of led lights or strobes. whatever to take there signal like this from dodges ignition system. I will most likely use led strips meant for tail lights. on when I turn them on and then set up to blink with rpm. just like a timing light.

can I take a signal from the coil pack? how about the crank position sensor?

all help is appreciated.
