Subject: Lowering Front End?
IP: Logged

Message:
Do the GenIII Daks have a way to lower the front by the torsion bars or do I have to use drop spindels or lowering springs. And can someone give some feedback on the difference in ride using the lowering springs and torsion bar drop method if that is possible.

Thanks guys!

is ur truck 2wd or 4wd? if it is 2wd drop springs are cheap, and u dont have torsion bars. if it is 4wd, cranking down ur torsion bars will make the ride qualiy bad, plus u shouldn't drop a 4x4 thats just dumb.

It's 2WD, and after looking found there were no torsion bars, I appreciate the info. I think springs are the way to go for now, my other problem is when I was installing the rear blocks I can't get the pin holes in the blocks to line up with the spring plate? It looks like it may have shifted a 1/4 inch on me, any suggestions?

Thanks,

did u buy blocks for a dak, or universal ones? you may just have to tighten your u-bolt more. Any more questions? I have no life, and will answer anything.
