I want to my lower dak (98 standard cab) as low as possible without cutting up the bed. how would i go about this? I imagine this would involve bagging all four corners, so any pointers on installing airbags would be good if u think a mechanically inclined beginner could handle it

if 2wd great throw in bags shocks and mabey even a set of spindels for a sik low and in the back you may need to "c" notch the frame for needed axle tube clearance for this you gatta know or be a very good welder. also for bagging the rear you will probablly need to set up a 4 link suspension
this is for bags giving a nice ride and hight adjustability and money...... you can do a few inches for a few dollars by throwing a set of dropped coils in front and if your diff is mounted ABOVE the leafs throw in blocks this does however limit suspension travel and ride quality........ ahhhh decisions decisions

How deep do your pockets go? To make the rear easy, AirRide Tech. sells an Air Bar...it's a 4-Link rear-end that is completely bolt on and uses a c-notch, so you won't have to cut your bed. It will give you about an 8 inch drop in the rear when layed out.

jd - you make little to NO fVcking sense.

1)genIII daks dont use spindles (err spindels) to lower
2)the axel is already moutned above the 'leafs'

HEY JD, got what ur saying but hard to follow, but then again, thats just me and im not air-ride mechanically inclined. lol. but sounded smart! ya'll sound like u got alot experience behind ya so chk this out, i have a delima, probably just a delima cause i dont know that much about air ride. (learning though :::gold star:::) but i put some 17x9 rims on my sport and course they stick out just a tad, wasnt a problem at first cause i was gonna flare the sides and let it sit on a 3/5 drop. everything was fine, but i am putting air ride now and i gotta shove them wheels somwhere. course i was advised "get thinner wheels" but im keepin' them. dont want to spend more money on other wheels and i totally dig the 9" width idea. also i was told my rt wheels are one piece not a 2 piece deal so i wouldnt be able to move them in closer. im lost now, i heard u could shorten the axle. sounds like serious work. im dedicated to this project so ill do that but need help.
thanks ya'll
