i have been told that if i remove the plastic V6 symbol from my front fender that there will be holes from where i removed it. is this true?

Oh Contrair....I was gonna rip the V6 emblems off my 99 and i did see a hole behind it, so i had to stick it back on.Acetone kinda messed it up a lil though.

97-2001 had the emblems that had pins on the back of them that go through the fender, they don't look to bad if you take off the emblems. the wholes are small and finished edges so it doesn't look like you drilled wholes through the fender. I have seen people use paint filler and touched up that area to make the wholes disappear. They don't bother me.

rip it off of there, then to to an auto supply store (cant think of who carries them off hand, i use em at the auto body shop i work at) and get an eraser wheel. pop er into your drill and it'll get all of the old glue off the fender\tailgate without screwin up your paint at all.

Yeah, I removed my emblems on my 97 Dak and there were two small holes behind them. After getting the emblems off, I just used some "GOO GONE" and wiped the area clean. Looks nice! I am going to put a little filler in the holes before I paint the truck (soon), but even having the holes there doesnt look too awful bad I dont think.

If any one has the v6 front fender badge that isnt ruined, i might buy it for the right price. It needs to be the stick on type, no holes.

best way to take the stick on crap off is to take a hair dryer to it and heat it up real good- shouldn't leave much residue behind.
