They look alright on a dropped truck. I'd like to see a set that has the projectors inside a reflective or frosted area. kinda how the headlights are now just the black portion either clear or frosted.

Here's the email I got from the builder (group buy time?):
"I understand the need for better lighting. I had a Durango before my Dak and was sorely disappointed in the light output. That is the main reason I converted my lights in the first place on the Dak. The ones shown on my beady-eyed Dakota are in fact prototypes made from fiberglass over an aluminum and polycarbonate shell. The production units will be made from fiberglass as well and, therefore, are not available in clear plastic. The housings are available in Metallic Silver, Graphite Metallic, SemiGloss Black and color-matched to your D. The Silver Metallic would probably fit your needs the best.
The halogen kits are $450 and the HID versions are $1000. The lamps have a glass lens and cast aluminum housing.
Kind Regards,

i recieved this eMAil:

"Thanks for the e-mail. The kits come with left and right housings that replace the factory headlights and plug in to the factory harness. The kit is available with halogen or HID projector low beams and parabolic halogen high beams.

The ones shown on my Black Quad Cab are halogens that have had the housings color-matched, along with the marker lamp assembly, to the factory black. The housings come in four flavors--- Silver Metallic, Graphite Metallic, Semi-Gloss Black or Color-matched. I charge $50 extra for color-matching the Halogen set and will do it free on the HID sets.

The cost is $450 for halogen and $1000 for HID. I am taking deposits now for the production run due to ship at the end of the month. The next production run should be around December.
