how do you get to the mid's in the door, speaker? what do you have to take off first? i have a 2000 slt+ cc. and what are some good replacing speakes.

There are 3 Phillips head screws you have to take out as well as 3 hex bolts. The first screw should be where your mirror is, and the other two should be at the bottom of the door. One hex bolt is located behind your armrest. The other is located inside the handle. Hold it open and look inside, you should see it there, then just pull it up and out. I replaced mine with a set of Infinity 6002i speakers, if you get those, prepare to drill, though they don't fit exactly right. But they sound great.

I put 4 3-way 200watt Sony Xplodes in my panels. Great highs, awesome mids, and my subs take care of the bass notes. :D
