I got my clear corners the other day from procarparts.com (I can't say I recommend them, they send me the wrong lights the first time, took me 3 weeks to get the right ones!). Anyway, there's no documentation on installation, and I haven't had much time to go out and look at the dak. How do you go about installing these?

To install the clear corners you need the "star" screwdriver undo the one screw(pardon my lack of vocabulary). Once, you take the screw out just reach behind and turn the light bulbs counterclockwise I beleive, someone will correct me if I am wrong. Then just slide it out. It is pretty straight foward to do and easy to install. Any questions feel free to email and I will be more specific:)

technow, i just installed the clear corners from procarparts.com last week.

Read this thread: http://www.dodgedakota.net/boards/style/35.html

RonW does an excellent job with the instructions. However you won't need to do any of the "drummeling" he speaks of. Yours should fit fine. What you will have to do that he doesn't mention is to clip off the socket that lights your corner parking signal and splice on the one that came with your new corners (the existing one doesn't quite fit). Just clip off the old one and strip the sheething down about 1/2 inch, then stip the sheething on the new one and twirl them together (sorry..i'm no good with the technical terms) then wrap it up real good with some electrical tape. Shouldn't matter which wire goes to which..i found it works both ways...bipolar i believe they call it :)

Good luck.

Appreciate the help. Once I knew what screw to take out, the rest is a breeze. And thanks Vermonster, as I was going along and saw the new bulbs, I gathered that I had to replace the bulb and socket because it didn't fit in the new housing. They look great, now I'm removing the decals from my truck. What a pain! I think I'm going to get some goof off or goo gone - the adhesive is horrible! Thanks for all you guys' help!

I used a little bug and tar remover to strip off the adhesive that was left after I stripped my decals. Works very good, and you don't risk damaging the paint.
