Does anyone have the APC 404022-TLR tailight lenses?
They're the ones that are basically the same as the stock lenses but with the colors reversed so the majority of the lense is clear with the strips at the bottom being red (where it's nomally clear for your backup lights).
I just got these and i'm a little baffled. If i put a red bulb in my break light and leave my backup light where it is my backup light will be behind the red lense. How am i supposed to see when i backup!
Am i supposed to swap them so that my break lights are the red strips at the bottom and my backups are the majority of the lense? IF that's the case i'm returning these things. The whole point of these for me is to have a red bulb behind a clear lense.
Anyone have any ideas?

My advice is dump 'em and get the carbon fiber tails! hehehe
I installed mine a couple weeks back and they look pretty sharp. Have had several compliments on 'em already.
Can't see how you'll make those other tails work ... short of adding aux lights for backup lights. Paininthebutt.

I'd like to see a pic of those carbon fiber ones on a Dak. I've seen the tailights themselves but i really like to see them on a the Dak.

Replying to this note again on this thread as well:
According to a number of reputable websites, the purely clear lenses are now illegal under DOT laws. Whether or not a cop cares enough to pull you over is another issue (where I live they'll pull you over for the stupidest things in a heartbeat). I picked up a set of the Euro lenses for my Silver R/T and they look great. The catch to the Euros is they don't have the frosted appearance like most Euro tails do - the rest is clear lens with fake chrome background. Unless you have a silver truck or a similar color where chrome looks good, go for the carbon fiber appearance euros instead. I picked up mine off e-bay for half of retail from procarparts.com

Not sure if the ones I have are legal but they do have some red on them at the bottom...i think they were legal not long ago. Regardless, i live in Vermont and you don't see a whole lot of euroed-out type rice burners so the cops are a little more laid back about it.
I'd put the all clear ones on if i could find them.
Not sure if i like the Altezza's. My truck is Green so if i did get em i'd probably opt for the carbon fiber. Do you know where i might find a pic of those on a Dak?

I didn't have a lot of time to update ALL the pics, but about 3/4 of the way down my site I added a couple of pics of the carbon fiber tails. I'll get some better ones up there, but this will give ya an idea anyway!
