 Subject: What does the dealership use on tires?

Message:
You know when you picked-up your brand new Dakota, your tires where all nice and shining. It had the wet look and it lasted for along time.
What does the dealership use, it's not any store bought products they make their own stuff. Does anyone know what stuff they use to make this formula. If I used the store bought product I'll go through a bottle every time I clean my truck, 31" X 10.5 tires!!!

Athony why don't you just call up the dealership
where you purchased your Dak and ask em,
probably should ask for parts Dept. , heck
they may even sell you a bottle or two.

You may be noticing the difference between sponge-on and spray-on 'wet look' products. The kind that comes in a liquid and has an applicator (Turtle Wax, Mequire's) lasts much longer than the spray-on stuff. I've used and been amazed by the Turtle Wax product, and it smells like an amaretto sour!
If you get the spray-on, do your wheel wells and visible frame too - lasts much longer on them than on tires, and looks like the truck's brand new. I use that for frame/wheel wells and applicator type for tires. Works beautifully! Just don't use it on a vinyl tops on Wranglers or the such, 'cause it'll drip off onto the windows when you wash it or it rains and be a b**ch to clean off.

they usually use a silicon spray on. the same thing they use at detailshops. when I used to detail it came in a 50gallon drum and was one of the most flamable stuff I've ever seen.

I use the armorall tire foam to looks just about as good and is not nearly as hard to apply.

I use a product called "notouch" Comes in an aerosol can...Ive tried tons of these tire products over the years and this stuff is the easiest ans best looking imo.

I use Westleys Bleach White for the white walls. And Armorall Tirefoam, it make them look great!!

i recomend NOT using bleach on your tires...lol...or if you do NEVER get it on the wheels because you will stain them.I have to throw the regular armorall out there,thats what i use on my tires...you know the same stuff alot of you use on your dash but when you use it on your tires just spray on and dont even bother wiping the excess off...it collects all the dust and the next time you wash your car the wheels are clean.
