Subject: moisture in clear head lites

I had this problem w/my first set of the clear euro head lites (the return process was no hassel). with my 2nd set i sealed the edges with clear silicone sealer. had no problems for awhile then bam! the moisture/condensation was back, i used a blow dryer to evaporate it. i don't know but someone out there that knows physics understands. i realized that water drops sitting on the surface of the lites after washing or rain caused condensation on the inside which formed more moisture/water buildup.to end a long story acouple wks ago i treated the lite surfaces w/ a water repelling glass treatment(i used castor accuvision) now water doesn't stay on the surface long enough to cause moisture on the inside of the lens. no re-build up so far. just a info post. this may have been out there but i just stumbled on it.

are you saying that water soaks thru the plastic??? Not possible!!!Nor is water existing on the outside causing water to condense on the inside, the water has to get in there before it can condense, it does not appear of its own accord. I think if you give a close, VERY close, examination to the lite assemblies, you will find, somewhere, a fine crack in it, that is where the water is getting in.

Drill small 2 small holes in the bottom of the housing. It will make the moisture build up go away.
