I emailed Keystone Restyling to find out about the sweet Shaker hood setup for the Dak. I was totally amazed to find out that one of the Canadian retailers was right in my own backyard. I stopped in to find out about it.
1. Is the Shaker a functional RAM air for the 4.7? The web site says yes, they say no... ?
I also nearly crapped my pants when he told me it was $2200 for the kit...NO PAINT!
How much have some of you guys paid in the U.S. for this?

I bought the shaker set-up before terry sold it to keystone. It is ram air functional and I paid about $800 before painting it. I have read threads on this site on the subject and they say it cost more now and is not made as well as when terry sold them.

I see that someone is selling one on the clssifieds here, but being in Canada, there isn't much I can do about it...pay lots of shipping and hassle at the border...thats about what I would end up with.
I'm starting to lean towards the Cervini hood maybe...or if I can find the AAR hood someplace.

Back in January or so, Keystone quoted me 1250 plus shipping for the kit. Still was too much since I had just missed out on that 800 price. I went with the suncoast hood.

Picked mine up used from a classified ad on this site. Paid $500 including a new K/N filter. Made very well and the fit is excellent. I don't know if the quality is the same now. I had a friend who is a truck driver pick it up for me while he was deadheading back from Texas. Maybe look for a used one and eat the freight or make a day trip.... The shaker is so sweet in my opinion....

No matter where i go, I'm probably going to end up paying duty at the border coming back into canada. Sure I could mount the hood and put the stock one in the bed...but then there's the risk of getting caught smuggling...and then its a REAL pain in the ass!
Is there anyone in south east Michigan that is selling one? Thats pretty close for me. :0)

I just got mine. Bought from Sport Truck Direct for $1150. Looks great and the quality was very good. It is functional on the 4.7L. Not a real direct shot, but functional. I didn't do it for performance anyway. :)

hey topless, go to www.xr8edlidds.com.
These guys can make you any fiberglass hood you can imagine. They offered to make me a shaker, but i wanted a cowl. I drew them a pic of what i wanted and the made it. They molded it off my existing hood so it's an exact match. I was the first truck hood they make they usually make import(thats why their site is cheesy). They made me a cowl hood and matching wiper cowl for $800 CAN. Best part is that there is no other hood like mine available. They are in Hamilton.

if i had pics i'd send em, but seriously check those guys out. Ask for Manuel. They can really to some sweet work, alot of it is on ricers but you can tell by the quality that its good work. Draw a pic of what you want and go over it with manuel and he just makes it. The under side looks completly stock, they spray it black and prime the top
I had mine done a year ago and it was the first truck hood, and i havn't given them pics yet.
