17x8 rims with 5.5" backspacing, running 255/50-17 tires. Will that combo work on a Gen II truck, stock height 2wd?

I do get a little rubbing but its due to the R/T wheels offset.The 255/55/17 is closer to the stock than the 255/50/17 plus the Tire Rack has the 255/55/17 KUMHO ECSTA 711 for 79 dollars each thats a outstanding price in my book

I'm looking to buy another set of R/T wheels and try to get them to fit under my truck again.. I've it lowered 2/4 and the tires were to big.. What tire size do you think will fit?

What I would do is take the size tires you have now on your truck and see how tall it is and then do some research then pick the right height and width so it looks right. When I look at your truck it looks like a 3 inch drop to me in the front just might be a illusion but I can ask another guy who has his lowered and see what tire size he is running.
