I don't think it would fit without rubbing pretty bad.

I know that the newer Dakotas have them. I was also told that the 255/60/15 would work how much diffrent is that to the 31/10.50/15?

Not nearly. The 255/60R15 are only 27 inches in diameter, compared to the other which is 31 inches.
