Subject: Headliner replacement????
IP: Logged

Message:
My 1990 dak club cab has a minor problem. My headliner is falling. I have dealt with them before in other cars and know that the spray glue and stuff doesnt work. Any suggestions on replacement and cost of?
Id like something no cloth. Maybe a rubber or something. Ive seen them around on other cars. Seems to last longer than cloth. But if cloth is my only choice, thats what itll be. Thanks.

The only thing you can do is to pull the liner out of the truck. pull off the old liner. take a broom and brush all the old foam off of it. be carefull not to pull the liner apart (dodge uses a pressed fiber material.) next get two cans of 3M super 90 (only use that stuff the others just don't last with the heat) You also need to get new headliner material, check ur phonebook for interior material places for it. Get 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 yards. when ur ready spray both the liner and the material. let it set up. then have someone hold one end of the material over the liner and start smoothing in along. It will be good as new. good luck let me know if you need any more help on it. Tony

it's not too too hard, just after removing the surounding panels. put both front seats as far forward and tilted foward. go through the passenger door from the front floorboard to the top of the back of the jam. they do bend a little, but don't bend them too much. it's much easier if you could just hank out the front seats. makes it way easier. good luck let me know if you need anymore help
