Subject: Lexus seats in a Dak?
IP: Logged

Message:
Hey guys,

I have a 2001 regular cab dak. A friend is selling his seats out of his 2002 Lexus IS. Has anyone ever tried installing these seats in a dak? I need to know if it will work and all that good stuff.

Thank you

I've never even been inside of a Lexus... Might take a set of seat brackets from a Lexus and some custom fabrication for them to fit.

For what a set of Lexus seats must cost , new or used from a salvage yard , you could most likely buy the best aftermarket seats with the correct brackets to fit your vehicle. That`s why no one has tried them yet. You are very lucky no have a friend who is getting rid of his , as long as they are really cheap.

I don't know if they fit or not, but if it's just a matter of brackets, they aren't hard to make at all. Just get a piece of steel and drill out the appropriate holes and such. I did it to my 2nd Gen Cavalier, and my brackets worked fine.

I was thinking of getting the two-tone suade/leather seats out of an audi s4, or the black and red seats out of a sentra.. neither seats are too big my 2000 R/T so if anyone figures out how to put them in... let me know. If it's as easy as drilling holes, then i'm ok.. but if not.. Then can someone please explain it in 'installing seats for dummies'
Thanks
Mike
