does anyone have or ever seen a shaker hood on a gen 2? i'd like to get one, but i only see them for gen 3's. any info would be great

The shaker from Proglass only fits '97 and newer Dakotas. They do make a pretty cool ram air hood for your truck though.
As far as I know Proglass is the only shaker hood manufacturer for Dakotas. Maybe someone else knows of another manufacturer.

The 4.7 is a GenIII. And I saw on Proglass' website that they do have a shaker for it.

I have not yet seen a shaker for Gen 2 Daks. As already mentioned, Proglass makes a ram air hood for the Gen 2's. I have one on my 94 and it is of superb quality. AAR quality fiberglass makes an AAR hood for the Gen 2 as well. This too is an awesome hood. www.aarqualityfiberglass.com. Someone makes a cowl hood as well (might also be aar quality fiberglass), but I'm not interested in cowl hoods. Good luck.
