Hopefully this is a new subject, it took me a month to scan through all the pages of Q&A's but I don't think there was one.. I'm a do-it-yourselfer yet I don't know anything about anything so I have a few Q's about the lights..

I notice what comes from the factory on the Durangos and Dak's seem to fit well and look flush and perfect with the holes given.. Where can I find these particular styles bulbs? Who's the manufasturer? Whats the wattage?

Where did you buy your lights from?

And lastly haw difficult was the install? Are there some tricky parts you didn't expect when you did yours?

There's a good vibe in this forum, I'd appreciate any feedback..

My fogs were missing when I bought my SLT(used).
I bought new OEM units and found the easiest way to install them was to remove the complete bumper/valance unit and do the job on the floor.

CD98,

The OEM units were a little pricey: They list for $95 ea and I was given a 25% discount because I bought the Dak at that dealership.

I chose this route because I had an SLT, which came with the lights already installed. The previous owner had rammed the valance and snapped off the light housings (the mounting bracket is an integral part of the housing).

If you choose aftermarket lights, you will have to fabricate some metal bracketry to mount them. If your valance did not come with lights, you will probably find a hole saw the easiest way to open the holes.

Hope this helps.

Do you really have to saw a hole? I took a quick look underneath and there seemed to be a removable back to open up the hole, though it seemed difficult to remove albeit a half-assed attempt.

Donno if you did a search, but I recall reading some old posts discussing the need to cut out the blanks for Daks not originally equipped with fogs.
