These knobs are milled from 6061 aluminum to give your dash a unique, eye-catching shine distinguishing your dash from the rest. Dressing up your vehicle is one of the most rewarding upgrades that you can do.
These billet knobs are available in either a polished or brushed aluminum finish. Two different types are being created to handle a wide variety of models:
Model 1: 1997-2000 Dakota, 1998-2000 Durango, 1998-2001 Ram.
Model 2: 2001-2003 Dakota, 2001-2003 Durango
NOTE: I have not seen the dashes of 2002+ Rams to know if these knobs are compatible. See photos for comparison.
Retail on a set of 3 knobs is $49.50. This group buy kicks off at $40.50 for a set of 3 shipped to your door, with potential discounts down to $27.00 shipped. See webpage for details.

As per the instructions posted above and on my website, the group buy extends until 12/16/02. At that time the bulk purchase will be submitted to the manufacturer and they will all ship out.
Items of note right now:
We have hit 45 orders which puts us into the next-to-last discount bracket. Considering how fast we hit this milestone I don't think it will be any problem hitting the full discount price before the group buy is completed.
Enough people have already committed orders so that the brushed finish will go forward (we needed 17 sets to offset the cost of having this finish applied).
I'm hoping to have pictures of the model #2 knobs available this week.

Allright, cool. I'm probably gonna be part of the group buy, but i tried to see if my stock knobs would come out. So i put them center straight up and i tried to pull it out and i just couldn't. I tried all the other knobs and same thing...what am i missing here?? I have a '98 SLT Dakota ext. cab....

I tested the knobs on a friends' 2000 Dakota and was able to get them off very easily. You may need to try rotating them to another position, I forget exactly how I had them pointed, but I remember they were easy to remove.

Pictures of the knobs for 2001-2003 Dakotas/Durangos and 2002-2003 Rams (Model #2) are now available on my group buys page, as well as a picture of what the Ram's head engraving looks like.
The Ram's Head engraving is not exactly like the Dodge version because of copyright issues. These knobs are a brand new design specially generated for the group buy therefore Billet Pro didn't have any time to go through the lengthy process of licensing the logo from Dodge, so the design must be different (The Chevy moles got upset back when they did bowtie knobs so they had to acquiesce for all new models).
Since we are already closing in on the maximum discount, I will be sending out payment information within a week to those who have pre-ordered knobs via e-mail. Dave at Billet Pro will begin production on the group buy's knobs at the end of next week (a different group buy for PT Cruisers is in front of us for production this week), so people who pay early for polished knobs will receive them as soon as they're produced. All of the brushed knobs are being sent to a second company after they are produced in one big batch, so they won't ship out until after the group buy is complete.

SinCity, this group buy is looking AWESOME! I'll be ordering mine as soon as I'm sure I have the money to spare. But I was wondering, i don't know if you'd be able to, but i'd like to see an example of the brushed finish for the 2000 style knobs if possible. (if not, i'll still probably get em, but it'd be nice to see what exactly what i'm getting.) Thanks

Because the knobs are having the brushed finish applied by a second company after Billet Pro is done making the knobs, I cannot show a picture ahead of time. The best I can do is show you a picture of the polished knobs (see the billet knob group buy page) and then show you a picture of what brushed aluminum items look like (go to my website, click on the group buys link, then go to the billet fuel doors group buy, those are brushed aluminum and there's a ton of close-up pics)
The group buy is going until 12/16/02 so there's plenty of time to scrape up a few bucks, but at the rate the orders are flowing in we'll be at the maximum discount level in just a couple of days, well ahead of the group buy deadline. Once we hit the minimum quantity, people who order polished knobs will be able to send in their money and have them delivered earlier than 12/16.

I have now received enough pre-orders that we should easily qualify for the maximum discount available for the billet knob group buy.
The price is now at the lowest amount - $28.00 for a set of 3 knobs, which includes shipping (options extra). There are also enough orders to continue with the brushed finish for those who want it.
